Manager, Contract & Commercial

I am actively #recruiting for Manager, Contract & Commercial.

Work Location: Kuala Lumpur

Requirement:
A recognised bachelor’s degree / Master of any discipline.
Preferred: Law, Quantity Survey or Construction Management background. 
More than 7 years of relevant experience in contract or commercial management.
Experience in rail, construction, or similar industries 
Strong understanding of contract management, commercial risk, and project claims.
Ability to analyse and interpret contractual and financial documents.
Negotiation skills and problem-solving for project and contract issues.
Stakeholder management and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:
Manage project contracts from award to closeout, ensuring compliance with contractual, financial, and operational requirements.
Review contractual correspondences from clients and provide timely responses.
Advice on contract-related issues and resolve claims or disputes, including those under CIPAA.
Oversee bid and tender processes, reviewing commercial and contractual terms for compliance and risk mitigation.
Conduct commercial and contractual risk assessments for projects and tenders and implement mitigation actions.
Manage project variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring accurate documentation and safeguarding margins.
Ensure timely submission of key project dates and contractual deliverables.
Collaborate with Procurement and Sub-contract Management teams on downstream project matters.
Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, project documentation, and tender submissions.
Provide updates and reports on project and contract performance, claims, and risk exposure to relevant stakeholders.
