Industrial Relations Specialist

 WE'RE HIRING | INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS SPECIALIST (6-MONTH CONTRACT)
AFA Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Specialist to support our Human Capital team in managing and resolving an existing backlog of disciplinary and employee relations cases.

This is a six-month assignment suited to a seasoned IR professional with strong expertise in disciplinary management, domestic inquiries, labour disputes and employee relations.
📍 Location: Batu Caves, Selangor
📅 Contract Duration: 6 Months
👤 Reporting To: Head of Human Capital

Key Responsibilities
Review, prioritise and manage existing disciplinary and employee relations cases.
Handle end-to-end disciplinary processes, including investigations, show-cause procedures, domestic inquiries and outcome documentation.
Advise management and business leaders on disciplinary matters, employee grievances and workplace disputes.
Represent the company in labour disputes before JTKSM and manage IR cases filed with JPPM, including conciliation and mediation sessions.
Support the company's representation in Industrial Court proceedings, where required.
Maintain comprehensive and confidential case documentation, reports and recommendations.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to existing IR practices.
Provide a structured handover of all ongoing and completed cases upon completion of the assignment.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Law or a related discipline.
8–10 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Relations or Employee Relations.
Proven experience managing disciplinary investigations and domestic inquiries.
Strong experience dealing with JTKSM, JPPM and labour dispute resolution.
Good knowledge of Malaysian employment and industrial relations legislation.
Excellent investigation, report-writing and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases independently with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
